The comic above was created in our humble beginnings, right after we designed the first version of Cacklin Slayers' Initiative Tracker. We were looking for cheap, creative ways to market our very first D&D RPG product on Etsy. While it’s not the most professional-looking ad, its message still rings true.
Let’s face it—D&D 5E initiative rules can be a drag. Rolling for initiative should spark excitement, not cause bathroom breaks and snack runs. That’s why we created the Cacklin Slayers' Initiative Tracker—an easy way to speed up combat and keep everyone engaged!
Why Not Just Use an Alternative Initiative System?
Great question! There are many D&D initiative alternatives out there, but deep down, I'm a RAW-abiding grognard. I want to be able to pick the Alert feat for its +5 initiative boost and play by the official rules.
